So my GrooveA 52HPn stopped passing traffic today and initially I thought it was a configuration issue as I had been tweaking a WISP CPE configuration all day.

After hours of troubleshooting and backtracking my configuration I finally decided to reset the devices configuration (both via reset and system reset-configuration). To my surprise, the problem exists after a reset to factory defaults.

Here's what I did after wiping the device:
Connected to the ethernet side of the GrooveA 52HPn to my home router
Connected my laptop/phone/desktop wirelessly to the default SSID of the GrooveA 52HPn (MikroTik-XXXXXX)

I can obtain a DHCP address from my home router on the end points, but I can't ping the gateway nor can I get access to the internet.

The only thing I can trace this problem to is my update to v6.24.... Help :/

How do I downgrade?

I tried dumping the v6.23 packages on the file structure and rebooting. .. No luck.

So the same home router switch port I tested with after the factory reset was tested with a PC and it worked. This I thought would have ruled out a misconfiguration on the home router. The GrooveA 52HPn is just a bridge...

I found it odd that I get an IP via DHCP when I use it, but I can't pass traffic or ping the DHCP server from the end point.

I will let you know how my downgrade goes later.

Reset with config removal is the only reset you can rely on. In this case the radio is usually off and there is no bridge in device. In this case you have to make your configuration. If you make it well it will work. If not, paste the export here, someone will point you to the place that needs correction.

I tried the downgrade but it wouldn't downgrade... I did the reset without default configuration and I was not able to access the device at all.. I thought I brick'd it. I then did a reset with the reset button to get back in and I was able to build a configuration again.

Config removal also removes all addresses. You have to login via mac for the first time. Nothing strange what you described.

I think I'm gonna make this a building block for all of my future configurations.

That's how I do it always. Remove the configuration and set only and only what I need. And not using quickset of course.
