OSPF, some routes not propagating

Tue Jul 18, 2006 1:30 pm

Well, the scenario is the following

MIkrotik A

wlan1 bridged with ether1 -> 10.138.51.1/27
wlan2 -> 10.138.51.33/27
wlan3 -> 10.138.51.65/27

ether2 (linked with cable to mikrotik B) -> 172.25.1.45/30

MIkrotik B

wlan1 bridged with ehter1 -> 10.138.51.97/27
wlan2 -> 10.138.51.129/27

ether2 (linked with cable to mikrotik A) -> 172.25.1.45/30
wds on wlan2 to a linksys router -> 172.25.1.49/30

linksys router -> 10.138.51.161/27

I've tried some different ways to configure OSPF (adding all inerfaces, adding only eterh2's adding only wlans' , you see... getting a little paraonic) but all ended the same. routes from wlan2 & 3 from mikrotik A doesn't propagate.

If i add a ether3, it is automatically proagated, but this doesn't happen wth wlan2 & 3...

the only way i have found to make them propagate through the 3 routers is to bridge the wlanX to etherX, thena all routers get all the routes...

Any idea? Please ask for configurations you may need...

We noticed OSPF on 2.9.27 stopped working when we turned on BGP. For some reason, we can not get it working again now that BGP is on.

Doesn't sound like v2.9.27 is working out very well. We upgraded from v2.9.7 to v2.9.27 routing-test a week ago. Had nothing but problems while trying to take two full BGP tables from upstream providers. We dropped one upstream feed and are now only taking a default route from the other. This was running fine for about a week until tonight we had a static route show to be correct and active become expired in transit. Only after the route was disabled and then re-enabled were we able to reach the affected subnet again.

Does anyone have a version running the routing-test that is stable with OSPF and BGP running? Is OSPF or BGP broken in v2.9.27 routing-test or is the combination of BGP and OSPF creating problems?

Thanks,

Brad
