Maybe a stupid question but could one use the above device as an ethernet translation/adapter device (ethernet in from the LAN, fibre out to specific locations or devices)?
The info says the ethernet is strictly for management so me thinks not.

You could use an SFP+ to ether net adaptor though at the cost of an SFP port.

Look at the block diagram.. the ethernet port is switched with SFP+ so you should get wire speed switching between sfp-sfpplus1..4 and ether1.

Finally the CRS305-1G-4S+IN will be available, looking forward to upgrade some parts of my network to 10G.
Hopefully the CRS309-1G-8S+PC will follow soon.

Pessoal alguém poderia me ajudar ? estou com uma BR751U sem acesso, já tentei instalar o firmware via Netinstall mais não reconhece a RB e todos os ledes depois de um tempo se apagam.

LGH-LTe kit is really nice, but for $159 one would expect gigabit ethernet, especially since there's a cat4 modem inside...
Personally I use RBM11G with Wireless Instruments antenna/enclosure because Mikrotik doesn't offer gigabit LAN on any of their pre-made solutions.
And yes, I can go above 100Mbit with my connection because base station I'm connecting to is not overburdened.

And yes, I can go above 100Mbit with my connection because base station I'm connecting to is not overburdened.
I get your point, but this is mostly meant for locations where signal is very poor, this is why you use such a big antenna. And this also means, you use it in places where speed is not going to be so great. Otherwise, it would be enough to use a smaller LTE device.

The device could also be used in places where the signal is just average, in order to boost a low speed into 100mbps+ throughput. Only having an FE port already kills this use case though. There's really no reason why devices that have 100mbps+ possible on the radio side are still shipping with FE ports!

Yes, but the problem is that none of your pre-made LTE solutions has gigabit ethernet, yet they have cat4 modems inside. If I'm wrong please point me to that product.
I would really like to use one but it doesn't exist.

Why isn't it? wAP LTE is something you can place on the window sill in a city apartment, where there is no DLS In your house. The use cases are different and many.

Is it possible to produce cheep simple Mikrotik device with:
1X 100mbps eth port
1X full USB port (with USB power reset)

with or without wifi, that option is not crucial.
with battery

there is some device from China and I have it, I don;t like factory firmware not either with OpenWrt.
From some unknown reason, Openwrt with 4g/LTE USB dongle working too slow if I cpmpare aliexpress device with mikrotik.

Maybe doable, but not in my case. I use my LTE setup (which is on the building roof) to distribute internet throughout my entire compound. (RBM11G=>RB3011=>20 Mikrotik APs).
Consider doing such product as this one but with gigabit ethernet. Aditional plus would be modem with higher LTE cat and support for carrier aggregation.

We would like to use LHG for companies in rural aera's with average 4g signal. We use the high gain antenna for stability and higher speeds. The 100mbit port is a unnecesary limitation of a very nice product.

The LHG LTE kit (with a high gain 17dBI parabolic antenna) looks really promising. A few questions though:

1. Where can you find more detailed info regarding the antenna characteristics like MIMO, radiation patterns as lobe angles, etc. Doesn't need to be precise, a general descrioption will do.
2. Will it work in snowy regions "out of the box" i.e. is the antenna surface material designed or prepared some way with "anti freeze" ?
3. Can it act as "Remote CPE" with LTE passthrough ("bridge mode")?

And more LTE products with old and slow cat4 modems...I dont understand how can anyone even get more than 100mbit from this, i cant get more than 30mbit sitting next to tower, while anything else from super old mobile phone(6-7 years) to 2x cheaper routers achieve at least 2x speed if not more..

Why cant u give us proper product with higher CAT modem like at least CAT6 would be nice?

This is good news especially for B42 band that has been missing. If I may add, do you think in the future perhaps maybe you can modify the wAP R to have Battery backup? And a smaller version like miFi size? That will be awesome. All the same thanks!

i like the 4x port SFP+ switch!
Also, personally, i feel the complaints about no gig eth on the new LTE product are a bit overblown. its very rare to get 100m+ on a lte C3/C4 device of any kind. Also for those saying what about using this device in a city to improve a decent lte signal to better- it is my understanding that advanced LTE towers will turn down TX power on their side if your side TX is too strong (goal = to keep tx of all devices within a range/threshold for RF QOS). Even if im wrong about that, 100m FD eth is more than enough for cat4 LTE. Also on the MT side, the cost increase of gig vs 100m is not just the port / port chipset itself. Its also the gig POE injector mt has to provide + increase board cpu/ capacity.

You do realize that this particular system costs 159$, right ? I think for that price gigabit lan should have been included.
And cat4 LTE has 150mbit max DL, therefore, theoretically, it would saturate 100mbit lan. If we go with reasoning that someone will rarely get 100+ mbit on LTE, then we could apply that on most of the mid and low range of MT products.

You're wrong about that. Basic assumption is that signal in reception point will never be too strong for receiver to cope with it (and, btw, many countries have emission regulations that limits transmitted power so that EM levels at the point which is accessible by public are low enough ... that's partially the reason why pico cells, intended for installation in similar places as WiFi APs, have low Tx power).
Instead, LTE towers will transmit at maximum power whenever there's something to transmit and by utilizing maximum power, higher modulation schemes (such as 256QAM) and less robust FEC can be used thus consuming less "air time" per bit transmitted.
