MQS looks interesting. Newsletter says the following:
  • Power it with a USB power bank and it will power your CPE over PoE, while you configure it

The question is, when MQS is power with a USB power bank only, what voltage can be expected on PoE output?

From the product page
https://mikrotik.com/product/mqs
Passive PoE, 12 V 400 mA (when USB 5 V input is used)

I expected to see more in thenewsletter. At least a couple of words for ROS 7, and maybe some new useful devices.

Two PSU is a good news, really. While PoE in is something that was there for years, RB with 2 PSU appears at least like "pro" equipment :)

Audience... Expensive toy, with questionable wifi coverage, so it is not only design that'll push users to get one. I'd love to read "howto" article on how to set up such a device(es) across generic building to archive good wifi, and comparison to (say) Unifi devices. Wifi is not something that should be placed openly and visibly so there should be something really useful but look in it.

Will there also be a R11e-LoRa4 ?
Or is that market not large enough to be interesting...

Nice one.

What about one MQS with one ethernet port for POE IN and another ethernet port for POE OUT. The new ethernet port will be only used to get power from the current wire, and also can be good for do not have the device down so much time while configuring it.

It will be easier to disconect the Mikrotik device ethernet cable, connect it to the MQS2 (new device name) and add another ethernet cable from the MQS2 to the Mikrotik device. We won't need the the USB Power Bank, and we get rid about problems of out of battery on the Power Bank.

Regards,

I had the same idea. Would be very handy for sites already with power. No need to have 12V to 5V converter or carry an USB power pack.

Ok, I am get it BUT...CRS354 isn't a "new product".
It has been announced a way long ago on MUM and I just need to known when I can physically have these units by me.

CRS318 - any news when it will be available? It had been announced for so long - like 9 months or so.
Cube60 - still 100Mb like Lite60, just better antenna? Or does it have gigabit ethernet? And, any plans to support more than 8 stations per 60GHz sector? With good TDMA protocol it should handle 100 of them (gigabit per sector, 10Mb average per customer, "up to 100Mb" service with reasonable 10:1 oversubscription ratio, dramatic performance improvement for crowded 5GHz that could compete with EU-subsidized fiber).

On this Athens announcement, it still only said that it will be available "soon".
In the past there were often availability dates (or at least quarters) on those presentations but they have been removed, likely because customers complained when they slipped.
But still it would be convenient when there is some idea when stuff is available. E.g. that CSS660 switch looks interesting for us but it still was only presented as a new and coming product without release date, and that already was done early this year. So still no idea when it can be bought, and products that cannot be bought are not really that useful in our network.

Still nothing ?
Not a single official word about CRS354 ? No sale/release date ? Nothing ?
