This is now suffering the log messages on default configuration script we had in testing before:
system;error;critical error while running customized default configuration script: expected end of command (line 1337 column 53)
This happens without wireless package only.

On the version 6.47.6 command repartition (e.g. "/partitions repartition partitions =2") causes the router's cyclic reboot (about every 10 seconds). On versions 6.47.x situation the same.
Reset didn't help, I've been able to repare it only with netinstall
On the version 6.46.7 this command works correctly

Will this fix the high battery issue with mobile devices? this started with the 6.47 versions, up to 6.46 the battery drain was normal on phones and tablets, it went up to 4x with the 6.47 versions.

RB450Gx4, everything worked great for months until I updated to 6.47.6. Wireless package installed since forever but is obviously disabled.

Edit: I found this on the 6.48 thread, however: viewtopic.php?t=163308#p811799

And also fix the log naming as I have posted both here and to support email before. (fix it for the new v7 as an minimum)

3 years and nothing has been done!!!

Look at this line:
system;error;critical error while running customized default configuration script: expected end of command (line 1337 column 53)
Is this an error message or an critical message.

Look at how wiki describes syslog messages: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syslog
Value	Severity
0	Emergency
1	Alert
2	Critical
3	Error
4	Warning
5	Notice
6	Informational
7	Debug
I have never seen any other system messing up logging prefix the way MikroTik does it.

It's a critical error ;-) With value 2 (2 and 3 binary and-ed together).

I see no improvement here. My Oneplus drains like crazy, but GF's Nokia doesn't seem to have problems.
On the laptops I don't know, They are used with power adapter.

It has been resolved before!
I would hope that when such mistakes are made, they are added to the regression testing done before releasing a new version, especially in [stable].

I can confirm the w60g link instability problem is fixed, I upgraded the Wireless Wire link that was the least stable on 6.47.4 from 6.46.6 to 6.47.6 and it's still stable.

Yes I agree how does this not get noticed? I just updated two of my 3011 and only one had this issue and that is the one that has wireless package disabled. So it might be related to that?

On my CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+
updating from 6.47.4 to 6.47.6 went without one hicup

On my CRS326-24G-2S+
updating from 6.47.1 [long term] to 6.47.6 [stable]
1. software update .... at the 2 minute mark -- after the update -- could not login into Winbox
2. BUT waiting to the 3 minute mark succeeded in login into Winbox for Firmware update
3. After firmware update no problem login into Winbox at the 1 minute mark :-)

Yes, it is the cause. The problem is that the configuration script contains commands that refer to features not available (wireless) and bombs out.
It has happened before.

However it is not as critical as it sounds, at least not when you make small incremental upgrades. I.e. you upgraded from an earlier 6.47.x version.
In that case no conversion is really necessary and the fact that the script failed has no further effect on the operation of the upgraded router.
(I had this problem before and my router still works fine)

Of course it may/will be different when you make a big version jump and there actually may be things that need changing in the config.

have you tried the long-term release? with that one or any 6.46 version my devices drain is very low, with any 6.47 version, it goes up to 4x times the normal drain.

No evidence but I felt recently battery life improved with 6.47.4 on my Samsung phone. Anyone else notice?

Tiere is a keep-alive setting in the wireless options which seems to help reducing the power-usage.

:set currentIP [/ip cloud get public-address] is no longer working - "currentIP" gets set to a null string, even though "/ip cloud print" shows the correct value for public-address.

:set currentIP [/ip cloud get public-address] is no longer working - "currentIP" gets set to a null string, even though "/ip cloud print" shows the correct value for public-address.
You do declare the variable before you are using it?
Try cut/paste this to a terminal windows (with the brackets {})
{
:local currentIP
:set currentIP [/ip cloud get public-address]
:put $currentIP
}
You may in some cases set it while declare it like this (it will fail in a do loop and other places):
{
:local currentIP [/ip cloud get public-address]
:put $currentIP
}

Fix the Mac table via snmp!!! Not only can the poe port not be managed via snmp, but the Mac table is now not correctly returned!!!
The bridge host table has slightly changed since 6.47. Now the dot1dTpFdbPort (1.3.6.1.2.1.17.4.3.1.2) shows the bridge port number where the source address has been learned, see the dot1dBasePort (1.3.6.1.2.1.17.1.4.1.1). To link these ports with ifIndex, see the dot1dBasePortIfIndex (1.3.6.1.2.1.17.1.4.1.2).

Strange CPU overload after router attempts to connect to MikroTik cloud :( since then, "unclassified" process in Profile gets 60-65% all the time even if there is literally no traffic going through the RB1100AHx4 router.

According to external SNMP monitoring tool and router output chain in firewall, issue started after router attempt to connect to 159.148.172.251:15252 via UDP (MikroTik cloud) - but the cloud feature is deactivated in the configuration since the very beginning. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Make sure you also disable "time zone autodetect" in System/Clock, otherwise router will still contact cloud for that.

RB450G - I updated from 6.46.4 to 6.47.6 then reset to the default configuration. I see only see the error if the wireless package is disabled, which is as you explained above. Not a show stopper as far as I'm concerned.

you only allow 6Mbit/s basic rate, I use 6,9,12,24. This works fine with all of my devices.

That´s new for me (MikroTik cAP ac). Any ideas?
16:12:20 wireless, debug wlan3: denying assoc to E0:D0:83:00:F3:53, does not support all basic rates
WLAN3 is sub interface of WLAN1
/interface wireless
set [ find default-name=wlan1 ]
band=2ghz-g/n
basic-rates-a/g=6Mbps
basic-rates-b=""
ht-basic-mcs=mcs-0,mcs-1,mcs-2,mcs-3,mcs-4,mcs-5,mcs-6,mcs-7

Is this post v6.47.6 related somehow? (here come only version specific posts)
The problem is device E0:D0:83:00:F3:53. It probably does not support 6 Mbps.
(Limitation of basic rates should be done in the AP, not in the client! Clients support 6Mbps per default. 6 Mbps (or 1 Mbps) is ALWAYS used for the first connection packet, even if it is not in the basic rates.)

This config seems correct (supports all basic rates mentioned.)
Not using "verbose" would show what you have changed versus default, and would include WLAN3

WLAN2 has a strange VHT setting (VHT=ac, settings are per radio not as HT, two radio's)

tx-chains=0,1
vht-basic-mcs=mcs0-7
vht-supported-mcs=mcs0-9,mcs0-8,mcs0-7

Should be
tx-chains=0,1
vht-basic-mcs=mcs0-7
vht-supported-mcs=mcs0-9,mcs0-9

Or must have a reason why MCS9 cannot be used on chain 1

Re: v6.47.6 [stable] is released!

Wed Oct 28, 2020 7:43 pm

After upgrading a CCR1009 from 6.45.x to 6.47.6 , im seeing 2x (my only 2x) GRE tunnels fail. They do show GRE connection success (both are connecting to different mikrotiks, running 6.45.6, but i cant upgrade those two MTs to 6.47.x until the weekend).

While the GRE tunnels do show connect success, the static routes that route across them keeping going up and down about every 30s (and even when up, wont pass traffic). Im not even able to ping the IP address i have assigned to the GRE tunnel on the opposite end (thus the static route issues I assume). even at debug level im not seeing any unusual log messages.

There are brief moments (~10 seconds) when traffic/pings do pass, but its rare. (i have no issues, that i can see, with connectivity/packet loss to these 2x endpoints, both are ~ 10ms away)

I tried disabling IPsec on all sides of the GRE tunnels (ie remove the IPsec PW in int->gre) but the issue remains the exact same.

Whats worse- for some reason im not seeing any log messages related to the routes going up and down, i even tried temp. enabling debug logging, nothing. (so i didnt notice this issue until about 36h after the rOS upgrade).

Clearly there is an issue here related to 6.47.6 (and maybe 6.47.x but .6 is all i have tried so far).

(note, 3x unrelated L2TP PPP client connections (not using IPsec on these) on this CCR work fine under 6.47.6)

Downgrading to the long term release (6.46.7) fixed the GRE issue (instantly).

I do like the change Mikrotik made ~1 yr ago to the various release trees/branches! very helpful, especially in situations like this.
thanks

Hello everyone!
After upgrade from 6.46.3 to 6.47.6 I have error:
error while running customized default configuration script: expected end of command (line 1337 column 53)
but my config have only 229 lines....
Whats can be wrong?
Devices: CRS226-24G-2S+ and CRS326-24G-2S+

I tried export config with "verbose" and I got 1638 lines, but line 1337 have no column 53....

error while running customized default configuration script: expected end of command (line 1337 column 53)
This is a known issue when wireless package is disabled, but nothing to worry about.
The default configuration script is an internal one that runs on boot to handle configuration changes after update.

You are absolutely right, after turning on the wireless package, the error disappeared. Thanks!
