Are these to-be-released sector antennas from mikrotik??
If so, Very good idea :D

Looks like it should be active integrated device more than just simple antenna.

In the picture it looks like those are 120 degrees sectors. Hope there will be a 60 degree version with the vertical lobe more open, useful for installation on mountains which cover valleys for both near and far customers. SXT-SA are very good in this scenario.

+1 for sector with:

- SFP and DC connector :)
- MU-MIMO support
- good shielding

it seems not to be any shielding on this Sectors.
Hence they are all plastic and only dual 5GHZ "N"
very cheap.....

With this cheap then I was not so sure.
See price QRT5 (should be at least $ 30 cheaper)

I think that the market small ISP expects innovative product.
(at least something like airfiber X, preferably also in other bands than 5GHz)

OR QRT / dynadish with dual radio (rx / tx)

come on, mikrotik, you already teased us with the pic in the newsletter, give us some more info! :)

1. Availability date? Winter is coming soon.
2. Frequency range? Would be nice if it works with acceptable SWR up to 6100 MHz.

Yesterday at Turkish MUM was presented some slides about new sector antennas, but nothing about availability or prices.
Maybe they will give more info in 2 days at Indonesia MUM.

Has anyone else noticed MK doesn't like 2.4 GHz with their antennas?

Interesting products...

One stupid question: since these antennas are the natural companions of BaseBox, NetMetals, etc... is there a housing place on the back of the antenna for such kind of boards?
Do we have to install the electronics on the pole and go to the antenna with coax cables? Is there the possibility to install a BaseBox on the back of the antenn and THEN go to the connectors with coax?

Thanks...

no, since the antenna is for any device, not just BaseBox, you will need to mount basebox with it's own pole mount, no special bracket. Antenna is universal, you can use it for any device.

You should build antennas that could enclose the routerboards inside.

looks like rb922 with some kind of sectorial

i hope some 2.4ghz sectorial products

Make narrower sector antennas. 120 degrees is too wide.
Ideal for environment with interference is 60 degrees and less.
Thanks

Had a closer look at the "renders" :D In Madrid's MUM.

15dBi models looks suitable for close range, check the PDF...

SXT5 and 5ac SA models are already 90 degrees...
Has anyone else noticed MK doesn't like 2.4 GHz with their antennas?
There is already RBSXTG2HnD which is a L4 60 degree 2.4GHz version, on most urban areas 2.4GHz is unusable for WMAN, we all want disruptive prices and economy of scale applies, guess that's why Mikrotik isn't manufacturing more 2.4GHz devices for that but focused for WLAN duties.

Integrated models have RB921 inside.

Regarding integrated sectors for high interference scenarios, Mikrotik has already partnered with RF-Elements, there's a "Simper Integrated Radio" line of Twistports with custom mikrotik 921 boards, with a shielded version (the red one I believe) designed and manufactured from the ground up with shielding in mind for high interference scenarios, had the chance to inspect them at the MUM and look really promising for this usage, specially when coupling them with RFE new 30,45,60,90 degree horn sector antennas.
