Did you have any grounding there, or other preventive measures? Just interested, maybe somebody can learn from your experience

Sorry i don't have the time to take pic... I have a lot of customers down and on this network i have 2 special client that work for the government... So i have to put it back on in the shortest time i can... For the story the tower was grounded. I use cat5e with ground cable and metal rj45 connector with ground. The only cable with no ground was the cable to the client house where the network sit... And i think is where the lightning go trough to the tower and to the good ground the tower offer... We have three more house around where i have to change phone ATA. So i think the lightning struck the electric pole and go to the house and is a old house so maybe their ground was not the best one and follow is path by the electric cable to the tower and the network cable... So my theory my tower was a better ground then the house. So its follow is path to them.
