Re: Usage GPON module SFP in Spain

Thu Nov 28, 2019 6:51 pm

Hi, I have problems with my ONT Alcatel-Lucent O-010S-P, I can't even connect by SSH. I have tried 192.168.1.10, among others, but there is no ping.
Does anyone know this model, and if it is compatible?
hugomon

My model ONT G-010S-P responds to pings in Mikrotik. Please check my steps.

1. Assign sfp1 as WAN interface (it will remove sfp1 from the bridge)

2. G-010S-P and other models will not expose ethernet interface unless fiber cable is connected (link-ok, rate 1Gbps)
[admin@MikroTik] > interface ethernet monitor sfp1
                      name: sfp1
                    status: link-ok
          auto-negotiation: done
                      rate: 1Gbps
               full-duplex: yes
           tx-flow-control: no
           rx-flow-control: no
               advertising:
  link-partner-advertising:
        sfp-module-present: yes
               sfp-rx-loss: no
                  sfp-type: SFP-or-SFP+
        sfp-connector-type: SC
       sfp-link-length-9um: 20000m
           sfp-vendor-name: ALCATELLUCENT

3. Add IP address to the sfp1 interface
[admin@MikroTik] > ip address add address=192.168.1.15/24 interface=sfp1

4. [admin@MikroTik] > ping 192.168.1.10
SEQ HOST SIZE TTL TIME STATUS
0 192.168.1.10 56 64 0ms
1 192.168.1.10 56 64 0ms
2 192.168.1.10 56 64 1ms
3 192.168.1.10 56 64 3ms

5. telnet or ssh
[admin@MikroTik] > system telnet 192.168.1.10
[admin@MikroTik] > system ssh user=ONTUSER address=192.168.1.10
Thank you for your reply JeanPierre!; I will try this week and report here with the result.

Hi, is there someone out there selling Zisa's or Carlitos SFP?

I tried contacting Zisa but they wouldn't sell me one.
Hi there,

I have the ZISA one. It won't work with my provider so I don't need it. Interested?

Best Regards.
Which provide do you use?
I’m interested if it’s not Movistar in Madrid.

Hi,

My provider is outside of Spain. It is Telekom (T-Com) in Montenegro. A part of Deutsche Telekom. Do You know anything about the modules I asked in a few previous posts? Nobody is willing to reply about.

Best Regards.

No, I only saw here that some people successfully running the Modul in Spain by modifying the PON LOID and Serial number to the values used from the provider. Since my provider is Movistar I ask about your provider.
I had contact to hilink they want technical details and after that no reply.
I also had contact to usourcetech about the Modul UGP-N1S
http://www.usourcetech.com/web/userfile ... _Rev01.pdf . But I not really sure if it will work.

Ok, I want to get rid of my zisa. In order to make it work here I would need to use its command line interface and I don't want to learn anymore how to do that. I need almost a plug n play option. What is Your offer?

Hello friend,

I am trying to replace my huawei router for a long time. I own ZISA OP151s but it doesnt work for me. Can You, please, let me know if the module You showed here works for You? Can You attach some web interface photos?

Best Regards.
Did you tinker with your Zisa? If so, what is changed?

Is your Zisa working?

Best I can do is 25€ + something reasonable for shipping.

Bad news, it doesn't work, I can obtain a link ok in the module only if I disable speed auto-negotiation, and still can't ping or ssh to the GPON.

Hello,

The ZIsa is working. Total work hours about 6. Nothing changed, not even the firmware. The factory firmware is in it. However, the best I can do is 40 + 17 shipping to Spain. If You want the same brand new module like ZISA, please find it here https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33014127133.html. For what I could investigate with my chinese friends, this module is absolutely the same as zisa and is was also produced and designed by the same factory T&W.

Best Regards.

So for me 60 Euro including shipping would be ok.
Can you send me a message in the forum?

HI,

I don't see an option to send You the message via forum. Please use email address spaxton.ligiston@yahoo.com . From there we can exchange details.

Best Regards.

Try ip-scan to see if anything responds...

[admin@MikroTik] > tool ip-scan interface=sfp1 address-range=192.168.1.0/24
Flags: D - dhcp
ADDRESS MAC-ADDRESS TIME DNS SNMP NETBIOS
  192.168.1.10 00:06:B5:BE:11:EF 1ms
  192.168.1.15 0ms

Change the sfp1 interface to 192.168.0.15 and scan 192.168.0.0/24. Repeat for 192.168.2.0/24, 192.168.3.0/24, 192.168.4.0/24 networks. I've have seen document claiming 192.168.4.254, 192.168.3.10, 192.168.1.251 to be ONT's configuration IP

note that many customers and operators use GPON
Normis, have you planned to launch any solution in the GPON? Branch, as we need OLT and ONUs from MikroTik urgent

You was rigth @JeanPierre, the correct IP was 192.168.2.2. After configure NAT masquerade for sfp1 I can login with user: ONTUSER and password: SUGAR2A041

Image

That's the good news, the bad news is I can't configure anything once logged in. Nothing is displayed about the busybox and commands like onu gtcpg don't work.
Also it runs extremely slow, even when writing, becoming apparently frozen.
In any case, it's a progress, thank you.

Hi, I have a uboot repo here that appears to work with the Alcatel-Lucent/Nokia GPON SFP, also the Huawei MA5671A
https://github.com/minhng99/u-boot_lantiq_falcon

more about this being discussed here: https://forum.openwrt.org/t/support-ma5 ... n/48042/21

It's not fully working yet and don't appear to work correctly with the G-010S-P (kernel panic, root= not found) but if we managed to fix this then we might be able to have a netconsole uboot working and it will be much easier to test firmware
