Any idea what could be the maximum distance for this devices? I am using Ubnt Airfiber 24 at 15.3km link, and ubnt is declaring 13+ km. This is 1.5+ km! Could it reach 2km, and how will it behave at heavy rain?
Those other devices operate at a different frequency where the atmospheric attenuation is not so big as it is on 60 GHz.
The max distance and behaviour is not determined by the manufacturer, but by physics.

Using 24 GHz at this distance gives very low reliability with rain. Guess pe1chl has a good backup connection or live in a desert.
60GHz is something to use reliable way below a mile. This 1.5km is a very long link for 60GHz.

24ghz is working like a charm when there is no heavy rain. During heavy storms, Netmetal AC is taking over, but luckily it takes only couple of minutes. I can't wait to get my hands on LHG60. Now it is rainy season in Balkans so it would be the great time to test those devices...

P.S. When we can expect those devices in sales?

Need some to replace these Ignitenets. A replaced link again causes trouble. Very low quality of components. Hopefully LHG 60 works from the beginning.

Hi,

we deployed LHG60 on link with distance 1,05 km. RSSI is -52/-52. In last firmware there is opportunity disable beamforming - we use it for perform adjustment. The link has capacity 1 Gbit FD, meassured by traffic generator.

[admin@MikroTik] > interface w60g monitor 0
connected: yes
frequency: 58320
remote-address: 30:07:4D:43:06:E9
mcs: 8
phy-rate: 2.3Gbps
signal: 80
rssi: -53
tx-sector: 20
tx-sector-info: right 0.2 degrees, down 0.6 degrees
rx-sector: 96

Very nice product :)
could you please tell me where can you disable the beamforming, and with what ros version?

I have one link usin LHG 60 on 900m. During very heavy rain, which took a part for 5 minutes LHG went completely down. So in 60G propably maximal recommended distance would be 1km...

Have on installed at 759m with the past few weeks, very impressed but went down a few times in very heavy rain the other day, no problems with light rain, fog or mist.
I do notice that if change frequencies on it the the alignment can move around.

Man O Man it took some fiddling around to get it line up

-68 RSSI is really bad at this distance you need to realign!

Look the Post above 900m and RSSI -53

Hey, on Wikipedia I found an info that 802.11ad is supporting following channels:

1 58.32GHz
2 60.48GHz
3 62.64GHz
4 64.80GHz
5 66.96GHz
6 69.12GHz

Will Mikrotik support all 6 channels?
