Hi,

in my house i have the following configuration of RB.
first... sorry for my bad english

1xRB3011 Rackmount caps manager
1x hAP Lite ac for the half indoor sleeping room etc. as a cap dualwifi
1x hAP ac for the other indoor site living room etc. as a cap dualwifi

this APs are mounted 4 Meters near the other but have a big wall in the middle and works good for me inside the whole house.

but in my garden (4 Meters away from both APs but another big wall) the speed is very poor i have on both 2,4ghz about -74 to -82 and the clients switch from hap lite to hap and back with many small freezes on internet traffic.

i have some clients like iOS notebook all have wifi ac possibility but in my garden i don't need that much traffic... internet speed about 100mbit
Garden is not more than 12 meters from the wall where i can mount something.
now i want to bring another wAP in my garden up... and thats my questions:

1. wAP or wAP ac ?
2. has wAP ac (12w) without 5ghz up a consumption about 4w like the wAP too???
3. is the chip 2,4 on wAP better than on the ac version ?
4. can i start and shutdown the ap with a schedule script on capsmanager rb3011 over POE out on Port 10 ? i want only daytime power on wAP

thanks for some quick answers

Kind regards

I can only help with 4-th - Yes, you can. 2 scripts in scheduler (one to turn POE on, the second to turn off)
it will look like:
interface ethernet poe set poe-out=off ether10
