switch all ports not sticking/setting for RB3011

Tue May 30, 2017 1:15 am

Using 6.39.1 software on RouterBOARD 3011UiAS (https://routerboard.com/RB3011UiAS-RM)

I am having trouble setting switch-all-ports
[admin@Garage Router] /system identity> /interface ethernet switch
[admin@Garage Router] /interface ethernet switch> set switch1 switch-all-ports=yes
[admin@Garage Router] /interface ethernet switch> print
Flags: I - invalid
 # NAME TYPE MIRROR-SOURCE MIRROR-TARGET SWITCH-ALL-PORTS

No matter what I set, it's not applied.

No error is presented.

Any ideas?

Because it isn't implemented on that router. All ports always go to the switch chip.

For switching ports 1-5 can switch and 6-10 can but you cannot cross between the chips.
You can master-slave the ports as above then add them to a bridge to get traffic crossing between all ports.

If you needed a switch you'd have been better with a CRS series.
