Simultaneous clients - mANT 19S  [SOLVED]

Fri Sep 01, 2017 1:28 am

Good morning everyone,

I bring a question about the mANT 19S product:

1 -) I have a FTTH of 150Mb / 150Mb:
- The bandwidth limit and QoS is performed on an rb3011 with PCQ + Adress-List

2 -) Bandwidth calculations for 80 clients:

Group A:
70 users, 80% CIR, 3 overbooking, 6Mb per user:
ABw = { CIR / overbooking} x USERS
ABw = { (6144*80/100) / 3 } * 70 = 114688 Kb = 112Mb

Group B:
6 users, 90% CIR, 2 overbooking, 10Mb per user:
ABw = { CIR / overbooking} x USERS
ABw = { (10240*90/100) / 2 } * 10 = 27648 Kb = 27 Mb

Total = 139 Mb, 76 users

3 -) Customers will have a sxt lite 5 km, line of sight 100% and maximum distance of the last customer 1,2 km

4 -) The question is, will the mANT 19S be able to support 76 clients and a 150Mb bandwidth? In such a case, what is your maximum number of clients?

Regards.

I wouldn't design it with just a single mANTBox 19S.

Apart from only covering 120 degrees, 76 simultaneous stations will be too much, I would target for 50 stations max per sector.

Best bet would be using three sectors, either mANTBox19S or 15S (clients closer than 500m). You'll be covering 360, and spreading the load amongst the three.
