LHG 5 issues

Tue Nov 07, 2017 7:05 pm

I just deployed an LHG 5 for a 3 mile link and these are a couple of issues that defy explanation. License lvl 3.
No power adjustment...menu lists regulatory domain and nothing else.
Country code is United States 3 .... no other option , no drop down menu...
I had latest firmware installed and it took 3 attempts to downgrade...finally did.
Refuses to reset wireless configuration.

Is this thing broken or what?

For sure he has the US version.
Also all LHG have L3.

And now after visiting www.routerboard.com, as he should do, we can find the following:
We have two versions available.
RBLHG-5nD-US (USA) is factory locked for 5170-5250MHz and 5725-5835MHz frequencies. This lock can not be removed.
RBLHG-5nD (International) supports 5150MHz-5875MHz range (Specific frequency range can be limited by country regulations).

Just surprising in that no other mikrotik product I've ever purchased ever had these limitations..
Pretty much means they're worthless to me.

I am sure that mikrotik is not happy for that. But as long as this is the condition that decides about selling or not selling in US, they had to do that.
If you were not informed about this by your seller, you can be entitled to return the device and get back your money. Try to buy international version if you are able to.
