Hi,
We use some SXT-5HPnD devices. Two of them do not keep their settings after a reboot or power toggle.
Anyone any suggestions? Is this a hardware fault and should we consider them as lost?
Do they lose some settings, or all of them? Is the device like from factory, when you reboot it?
Possibly the Reset button has some water or corrosion and device thinks it is pressed (so it does a reset). You can use some PCB cleaner to clean it, or, if there is heavy corrosion, maybe some soldering is needed.
If there is no visible damage, there is no specific suggestion.
The reset button is the problem not reset contacts. This is a well know design problem.Do they lose some settings, or all of them? Is the device like from factory, when you reboot it?

They lose all the settings and appear like factory. I have already cleaned the reset contacts which didn't help.
They have been outside for some years so yes could easily be corrosion. What can you suggest to solder?
