Rain is no problem link ok signal from 80 drop to 60 MSC from 8 to 6 but yesterday snow , one PTP wAP60G - JRC29 with wAP60G 320m heavy snow signal 80 no problem only when water snow on radom signal drop to 55 MCS 4 cleared radom signal 80. second P2P LHG XL with wAP60 - JRC 24 with wAP60G 450m LHG was very very snow covered signal drop to 0 no link after LHG cleansed from snow signal grow to 80 link ok I think that snowing or raining is no problem only when antenna or radom is covered with snow.

wAP60 inside LHG XL
the funny thing is that the board inside wAP60G says "LHG 60G". at least mine inside the "wireless wire" box did so.

I´ve heard that it did not pass EIRP test in LHG so thats the reason why it isnt sold and it also wont be soon. It will be nice if someone from staff can confirm that.

it fits jrc24 extreme nicely. Too bad I have a lot of non extreme versions.
I tested that today... 185m one side is aimed to best signal, other site I just put there and hoped.

signal 80... cable speed....

Thanks for the tip MulderSK !

The wavelength of 60Ghz compared to 5Ghz is so much smaller it just slips through the holes in the plastic LHG. So as a dish an LHG is not going to work for 60Ghz.

They should come with a LHG that has a metal laminate on the inside. This will work.
They will catch two flies at once. Because people living in snow fall regions can't use the LHG's since snow seems to build up very easy and once on even with a bit of sunlight takes time to melt away.
A metal dish take longer for snow to build up and also gets rid of the snow faster.

Price wise the extra thin metal layer won't make such a big deal, its more the transport...

I work with Ignitenet links and with their big units, that is smaller then a LHG, I can already run links up to 600mtrs and a full Gb aggregated throughput. According their info they even have the same antenna unit with a 2,5Ghz aggregated unit that is capable of getting to 2,5Ghz.

And rain on my 600mtrs link? The link drops indeed in heavy downpours. But that happens here twice a year for 5 mins....... and we have a 5Ghz backup still available...
