CCR-1036 and SFP+ 10G perfomances

Thu Feb 08, 2018 6:37 pm

Hello to all.

I m testing in LAB a link between two CCR1036-8G-2S+ and SFP+ 10G (Mikrotik S+85DLC03DI)

BTEST not more 1GB in TCP and 2.5GB in UDP.

- ROS 6.41.1 (latest version)
- SFP+ autonegotation disabled and fixed to 10G

Where are wrong?

Best regards.

You should not use the Mikrotik tool. It is inefficient and does not use multi cores.

Connect a machine either side and do a “real” throughout test.

I agree with you, the BTEST can be inefficient, but I also tried whit 3 CCR linked via 10G SPF+... CCR_01<>CCR_02<>CCR_03 same results.
Can you suggest some >1GB testing machine?

LINUX box + Iperf?

Tnx

Hello,
why have you S+85DLC03DI SFP+ modules ?
The correct PN is S+85DLC03D, whitout "I".
"I" version have less distance capacity and other shortcomings.

Iperf would work, another option is to use Traffic Generator.
