S+RJ10 link speed

Fri Feb 16, 2018 2:29 pm

Just got a couple of these to play with conecting between 2 CSS326 switches on firmware version 2.4.

The speed shown on the link tab is 10G - is that really the connection speed down the cable?

Reason for asking is that the copper cable connecting the 2 switches is about 30m of CAT5e UTP with patch cables both ends and also 2 intermediate patches (RJ45 socket, patch cable RJ45 socket) during that length.

I wasn't expecting to get 10G.
Cheers.

similar problem: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=132579&p=653164&hilit=sfp#p653164
Can't verify 10 GbE throughput yet, bandwidth test doesn't get higher than 700 MBit/s.
