LtAP mini - does built-in GPS have 1PPS support?

Thu May 31, 2018 7:09 pm

RouterOS has had the ability to work as GPS synchronized NTP server for a long time - but its accuracy was limited by missing 1PPS support. Has this changed in the new LtAP mini product? I haven't found it mentioned anywhere in the docs, but since the product has built-in GPS receiver, it is not constrained by lack of that extra RS232 signal to carry 1PPS. Is the hardware ready for 1PPS support (basically, connect the 1PPS output from the GPS module to some timer capture input on the CPU), even if not supported by RouterOS yet? If yes, is RouterOS support planned for that? (If not, I will have to shop around for other more expensive GPS synchronized stratum 1 NTP server solutions - yes I know it can be done on a Raspberry Pi, but their Ethernet implemented internally over USB is not perfect for such use either, so I'll probably end up with some power-hungry x86 hardware.)

That would be interesting to know if they plan on adding PPS.

According to the Wiki:
Note: The time is not stratum 1 as RouterBOARD devices do not have PPS implemented
