RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN bootloop after power failure

Tue Jul 10, 2018 12:01 pm

Hello,

a few days ago i had at home a power down.
i have 2 RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN one is the router one is a accesspoint/switch
the last one keeps bootlooping after powerup.
also resetting for netinstall not working
the other RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN is just fine.
In de defect 2011 displays first:
routerboot
loading kernel
starting kernel
then a beep and a reboot then and its start all over.
When turning on with reset button pushed i get:
ether boot
routerboot configuration
ether boot
loading kernel from nand
and again a reboot
netinstall not working then also.

ps i was at the latest routeros 6.42.5
ps2 when ik connect serial i see a kernel panic

Have you tried another power supply?

yes,

at the moment i try with a working 2011 netinstall to work
and that works (same power supply) and i see at the terminal he got a bootp adress
But the defect one not get a ip from bootp

edit:
oke the info as above that a other got a ip adres was tested with a laptop.
so i going back to my pc where i used netinstall and ik got no ipadress.
next step, try again but now from the laptop!
and it works

problem was at my pc, but there disabeld firewall and virusscanner.
The laptop was firewall and virusscanner on.
a nic in my pc was i think not good functioning.

tnx
