I know they are working on them, if they are going to be announced it will likely be at the EU MUM in 2019

Im hoping for something Cavium Octeon TX based with multiple 10 and 100gig ports.

Since TILE is a dead architecture in the Linux kernel there needs to be a high end model that will handle RouterOS v7 (if it ever comes out). I am worried more and more about how old the RouterOS v6 kernel is, many modern chipsets (both CPU and wireless etc) require newer kernels so the available hardware is being held back by how old the software is.

If Mikrotik wants to support TILE, they should be able to reinstate it.

I'd like something new in the CCR1036 - CCR1072 range.

If I remember correctly, the patch which dropped tile from the Linux Kernel explicitly stated, that nobody was using tile in current Kernels back then and that the vendors who are still shipping tile hardware had no interest in having it maintained for future Kernels.
Therefore the chances that tile hardware will ever run a Linux Kernel beyond 4.16 are nonexistent. It's dead, Jim.

Why don't use x86 ?
Intel Xeon D-2100 or AMD EPYC 3000

Is the CCR1072 EOLd? I have one that was DOA and the disty is telling me they are out of stock and no ETA on a replacement.

Tile was an interesting idea at the time but for the most part very ill suited really to networking functions and tasks.
It looks like the Tik guys have learnt some things along the way as well.

I'm a bit worried about actually parts/etc for the future as I've got quite a few of those CCR1009/CCR1016's in prod.

Personally I'd prefer if we'd go to x86 arch like an Opteron X3421 or the like but ARM is good too.

Why so harsh judgement? Tile is great for massive parallel tasks. What is typical paralelized task in networking? Packet forwarding/filtering ...
Obviously there are issues due to low market penetration but that has nothing to do with being or not being suited for networking.

So much small cores and mikrotik can not load blancing all of them well.

Not harsh just the truth.Even the MTK guys have admitted that there are many use cases where higher powered cores are much more beneficial than just sheer number of cores.
