Hi,
I just want to make sure I am interpreting this correctly. Here is some basic info copied in from the Tik Site for 512 bytes
hAP AC^2 - Routing 25 ip filter rules 986.3
RB3011 - Routing 25 ip filter rules 836.0
RB4011 - Routing 25 ip filter rules 2,560.8
I am looking at these devices for routing only - no Wi-Fi, or switching really. This will be setup with only 1 trunk port to a larger switch. SOHO / SMB stuff.
So as I understand it -
The hAP as router will outperform the 3011 and get close to supporting a gigabit WAN connection. This makes sense as the hAP is newer.
The 4011 crushes them both twice the performance of the hAP.
Again, forgetting about additional switch ports, Wi-Fi, USB, LCD, etc..... is there any reason to choose a 3011 over a hAP? For the money the 4011 seems like the gold standard for SOHO / SMB applications. I think the RB4011 rack mount is no good. I wish it was in the same form factor as the 3011 with real rack mount case, LCD and buzzer.
Just looking for clarity - thanks in advance.
