wAP R/LTE Power Connectors

Thu Aug 22, 2019 7:48 pm

The automotive power input on the wAP R... is this just a alternate connector or is there more power conditioning/whatever when using that power input?

You only need one method of powering to power the unit.

Looking at the PDF (https://i.mt.lv/cdn/rb_files/1556958365wAP-LTE.pdf), it doesn't mention anything fancy. You'd probably have to email support to see for sure.

@liamharrison3

There is no additional features if you use it. Automotive connector is another option of how to power this device.

Thanks for your answers!

Automotive has a reputation for being a harsher electrical environment so I will probably take extra steps to protect the router. Probably an in-car 19v laptop PSU.
