memory leakage in x86 router os

Sat Oct 05, 2019 2:11 pm

Hi,
There has been memory leakage in all the version beyond 6.4*. Earlier I'd uptime of year or more. Now I have to reboot every 1 month. Memory consumption goes down to dangerous levels. My h/w
All Dell, IBM etc server on intel x 82599 cards.
Running as pppoe server
Contacted support but same old song upgrade make old support and new support with new version then send. Mikrotik users had just become beta testers. Upgradation is so scary last year my 3 servers became dead while upgrading. I'd to upgrade bcoz of security bug in winbox. Routeros stopped booting and mind it its x86. I can write a lot against degrading quality of Mikrotik.
One server with 56 cores (with ht) running 2500 pppoe users and 3gigs is max it could handle. Just one vlan flapped with 400 users logging out and see the cpu usage jumping to 100%.
I'm totally despondent that there could ever be any quality control in MT. Shifting to bsd and pppoe-server most of things has been done just logging left.

Have you figured out what is causing this?
