has anyone looked into the CRS326-24G-2S+RM to see how hard would be to accept PoE-in on other ports, not just ether1?
All 24 ports use the same transformer, rated for 350mA DC (LGP5409LF - 6 of them, one for each 4 ports).
Only the first port (ether1) is documented as PoE-in. The question is, how are the center taps of the other ports connected on the PCB?
If they are all open, it should be fairly easy to solder a few diodes to add PoE-in to other ports as well.
But if they are shorted, little can be done - the board is too dense to safely cut traces, impossible if shorted on middle PCB layers.
Waiting for the CRS318 series, but still no answer when they will be available - so need to roll my own.
For max 8 ports, CRS112-8P-4S-IN looks easiest to modify (all PoE circuits are on a separate board, with easily accessible test points to solder the diodes to).
