I have a RB4011iGS+ running RouterOS 6.43.7 which appears to be malfunctioning. Here's what happened:
- The router stopped being responsive and would not permit access using WinBox, HTTP, or Telnet.
- The router began introducing latency on the network and stopped forwarding some traffic.
- The activity light for port 10 lit up solid, although there is nothing plugged into the port.
- Power cycling the router resolved the latency issue.
- After rebooting, the activity light for port 10 continues to light up solid (no blinking).
I did have some mangle rules logging for a while, and I suspect the log in memory may have grown too large and caused the latency. You would think that the software would manage the memory so that log overrun would not be possible. At he same time, the port 10 light is still concerning. Does this represent a hardware failure, or some correctable software problem?
