CSS326-24G-2S+ to RB960PGS with S+DA0001

Sat Jun 13, 2020 1:52 pm

Hello

I'm deploying a new rack with two switches CSS326-24G-2S+ and a RB960PGS, the routerboard will act as CAPsMAN
Between the two CSS326 switches I use a S+DA0001 SFP+ and it works very well.
I would like to connect the RB960 via SFP, but if I connect another S+DA0001 to the RB960 I cannot get cable link.

I attached some screenshots from configuration of both devices.

Can I solve this problem?

Thanks

Both cables (S+DA0001) are OK, right?

Regards.

Hello.
Both cables S+DA0001 are new, so I think they should be OK.

I'll try plugging them in two RB960 (I have both here available and both have SFP port)
I just finished putting cables in a rack with two CRS326 connected with a S+DA0001 and it's working, I connected a CRS112 with a RB760 with another S+DA0001 and it's working.

The problem arise only when I connect CSS326 (with SwitchOS not RouterOS) with RB960.
Could it be a compatibility problem in CSS326 SwitchOS software?

Hello,
Turn off auto-negotiation and force 1G on the interfaces in both ends of the cable.

I haven't seen the option to turn off auto negotiation in SwitchOs, today I'll go to customer and check if there is the option. Thanks
