I was planing to boost my home network to 10GBASE-T by buying and using the CRS312-4C+8XG-RM Switch. The network is already using CAT7 cables.
In order to use some of the SFP+ ports i opened up the MikroTik SFP module compatibility table and was shocked when i came to the seperated paragraph 3.2 about the CRS312-4C+8XG-RM Switch, which says, that 10GBASE-T is only supported up to 30 meters even when using CAT7 cables, even though CAT7 can offically support up to 100 meters.
No matter if its the SFP+ port or a RJ45 port.
Has anybody any experience if longer ranges are possible or any workaround to get 10Gbit network to every room in my house?
Thanks for advice,
