Powering 802.3af/at with 24V passive PoE

Powering 802.3af/at with 24V passive PoE

Can a RB260GSP switch (with passive PoE) supply power for a cAP lite AP (PoE 802.3af/at)?

https://mikrotik.com/product/RB260GSP

I understand that with 802.3af/at, the switch negotiates with the device whether it wants PoE power and then supplies power or not. With passive PoE, the power is supplied at 24V no matter what.

The cAP lite can work on PoE voltages of 10V-60V so *should* work on the 24V supplied by the RB260GSP but will it works without negotiation?

One day I'll fully understand PoE ;-)

All current Mikrotik devices that can be powered by 802.3af/at, can be powered by Mikrotik's passive PoE as well.

Can cAP lite by powered by dahua poe switch or ONV pie switch which support 802.3 af/at standard?
