connection failed

Wed Jul 04, 2007 1:03 am

I have an installation with 2 panel antennas 23 dbi, and 2 XR5 minipci card, the distance between the 2 points is about 7 KM (7000 m)when i try to use more than 19 dbi, the connection stop work. Also yestraday I used 19 dbm TX Power on the two ends, after one hour working fine, the connection stopped, all things are ok in the 2 sides, just the link isn't here. What would be the problem ?
i use RB133 like AP, and RB133C like station, configured to be a transparent bridge

Ive found no real answer to this, all of our SRx's have gone funky since the later versions of ROS 2.9.3x, which are near same as the XRx's. The documentation will tell you that the real TX power is +10, so if you set to 19 it is really doing 29! be careful, you will blow the card!

as of 2.9.44 our remaining sr2's in our network are still giving us grief, so much so that we have replaced most of them and put the SR2's onto the shelf. Pity, we had such good service from these cards until recently.
