netPower Lite 7R Number of Inputs at once?

Thu Nov 19, 2020 7:00 pm

I understand that any of the 7 ports can be used as input to power the switch and 1 device on port 8.

My question is how many of the 7 ports can be providing power at the same time?

Can all 7 have POEs at the other end?

What happens if the voltage input is different on different ports?

This switch will be used for a couple of condos with multiple dwellings. I want to ensure that the switch stays running if a customer decides to unplug their POE or shuts a breaker in his unit so that others do not have a disruption in service.

Hello,

Yes, there are 7 poe-in ports and one poe-out port.
At the same time you can use all poe-in ports.
If there will be different voltage inputs, the device will be powered from the highest available voltage.
If there will be more then one PSE, make sure that PSE will provide passive/forced poe so device uptime is 24/7 in case one of power sources will be turned off (this suggestion goes in case you use any custom solution).
