Enquiry on 100Gbps SFP Router

Thu Nov 19, 2020 10:14 pm

Hi MikroTik Team,

It has been a great honoured having to use MikroTik products to grow/ scale our network.
We currently deploy over ten (10) units of your CCR-1072-1G-8S+ at our major hubs and it's doing a fantastic job for us.
However, we would like to know if there is a 100Gps SFP port router as it's not listed in the ethernet router category.
This spec of router will help us in our network scalability.
Any information on this will be great.

100Gbps linecards for telco-grade routers is tremendously expensive for many reasons. I don't think we will se Mikrotik in that segment for a while.

What is possible then is 100G L2 switches with L3 and MPLS capabilities, as the switching ASICs is becoming cheaper.

Hi,

we are searching a similiar setup. We will try:

Appliance: http://www.lannerinc.com/products/netwo ... appliances

Network-Cards 1: http://www.lannerinc.com/products/netwo ... n2s-ihm203

Network-Cards 2: http://www.lannerinc.com/products/netwo ... 2s-mhm202a

Network-Cards 3: http://www.lannerinc.com/products/netwo ... n2s-mhm201

I will report back if do a test. I am not sure if the Intel-Chipset is supported by Mikrotik.

Earlier this year, a model number for a 100G router from MikroTik was leaked. That's about all we know.

viewtopic.php?p=819880

CCR2016-1G-12XS-2XQ is the model number which would have 2 x 100G interfaces and 12 x 25G interfaces

The wiki was updated this year to reflect 100G naming conventions
