Did the wap R ac always come with a LTE thermal pad?

And what is the gain of the lte antennas?

Antenna gain and other useful information you can find in brochure:

LTE antenna max gain: 4 dBi (with u.FL connector)

I must of fitted it as it's not in the box. I'll have to check under the card.

That's higher than I thought.

That's higher than I thought.

And probably higher than it is in reality. It's a pity MT doesn't publish decent frequency/gain diagrams for all of their antennae.

Some that they do publish (e.g. SXTLTE kit) show that the published number (4 dBi in this case or 9 dBi in case of SXT LTE kit) is the absolute maximum gain in some certain frequency band while most of other frequency bands have much lower antenna gain. In case of SXT LTE kit with published antenna gain of 9 dBi, it can be down to -2 dBi for certain supported band (B12 / 700 MHz when used with R11e-LTE-US modem). And 11 dB of difference can translate into difference between decent performance and no performance. The later then translates to huge disappointment of user who purchased gear and later finds out it's not usable for him.
