RBSXTR&R11e-LTE / 6 voltage requirements

Fri Jan 29, 2021 11:42 am

Hi,

Comparing the product page on RBSXTR&R11e-LTE and RBSXTR&R11e-LTE6 it says "PoE in input Voltage 12-57 V".

While on the brochure it says "Supported input voltage 18 - 57 V (Passive PoE, 802.3af/at on Ether2)"

I'm pretty sure we have customers using it on 12v.

Am I reading the documentation wrong (since mention of PoE) or is there a mismatch here?

Thanks for any clarification!

Hello @RemiR

Device itself will work stable from 12-57V.
The 18-57V is recommended in case customers decide to use poe-out port or long Ethernet cables. If poe-in/poe-out port on PSE will be used in combination with a long cable and/or the PD will have high power consumption, there might appear a reboot loop or PSE won't be able to power it up. Often customers think that this is considered as RMA, but, as it may appear, the PD receives insufficient voltage (as example 9V) and, therefore, PD will not be powered up.
This is not an exact mismatch, just should add an additional note about the recommendations.
Thank you for the feedback.
