I have 2 CCR1036-8G-2S+ with different ROS version. The local IX router running with 6.47.8 and the Distribution router runs on 6.47.7.
So basically both routers run with very similiar bandwidth since the distribution is connected to the Local IX Router and IP Transit Router, but IP transit router is really not so big bandwidth running on it. My Local IX Router runs approx 1 to 1,5 Gbps at the moment.
When bandwidth reach 1 Gbps, my local IX router CPU load is only arround 15--19% and my distribution router CPU load is already at 48-50% When local IX router runs at 1,5Gbps, CPU load is only 20-25% and my distribution router CPU load will go up to 65-70%.
I checked from TOOLS > PROFILE in Winbox, it seems in the distribution router, firewall was taking much of the CPU load. The funny thing is, Local IX and Distribution router has very very similiar Firewall Rules, but why only the distribution router get high CPU load?
So the question is, is it because of the ROS version? Should I upgrade to 6.47.8 for my Local IX Router as well?
