CRS112 PoE out will not power SXTsq w/48v power

Mon May 17, 2021 5:15 pm

Anyone know why a CRS112 with a 48v power supply would not power a SXTsq? The poe by default says "too low power"
If you set it manually to high it does nothing. Finally had to use the supplied power supply for the SXTsq. IF there is a better low port count PoE switch, which one should be used?

All of the SXTsq require 10-28V or 10-30V Passive PoE, so in order to be powered by CRS112 you need to use the stock 28V PSU with it as well, not only the 48V one.

Hello @vlarsen

As @xvo already said, the SXTsq series devices requires "low voltage" powering.
Please pay attention to powering section.
Example:
PoE in: Passive PoE
PoE in input Voltage: 10-30 V

Thank you both, that makes sense now and I see that I would need to use both power supplies.
