Wap60G AP on 802.11at POE

Mon Jun 21, 2021 5:53 am

Been experiencing weird problems with poe powered mikrotiks recently. Basically anytime I plug in a mikrotik to our rackmount PoE injector the mikrotiks work for a day or 2 and then do not power up with any ports on the injector. The injectors are passive and existing devices run fine off them, just seems to be new devices. I may be able to write this off to passive 24v PoE. However, I just plugged a Wap60G AP into our Juniper 4200px switch which provides 802.11at. Again, the Mikrotik powered up for and ran for about a week, then just powered up and no port or switch will power the Wap60G even through it is supposed to be 802.11at compliant. The only way I can power it (and it works perfectly) is if I plug it into a RB PoE Gig injector.

I'd love to move this back over to the switch if possible. Anyone have any Ideas what's happening?

Thanks
Jonathan
