SXTsq 5 ac on CRS328-24P-4S+ POE switch 'Current too low'

Wed Jul 14, 2021 5:26 pm

Hello

I have a SXTsq 5 ac connected to a CRS328-24P-4S+ POE switch. I get 'current too low' repeatedly. I have tried 'Forced on' and voltage set to 'Low' and I still get these errors. The documentation shows it requires 10-28V which is why I chose low. Should I try 'High'?

This is in fact a replacement switch for one that stopped providing network, yet curiously kept providing POE power, which we had to replace.

There are no special network settings, it is just being used the same as a normal switch.

Source: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:P ... Monitoring

current-too-low - current-too-low means that PD draws too low current (<10mA) than normal PoE-Out device should, reason for this can be:
Delivered voltage at PD is too low for normal powering (for example Vmin = >30V, but provided 24V);

PD uses second power source which has a higher voltage than PSE, so all current is taken from second DC source, not PSE

Switched to Amcrest switches after the second replacement Mikrotik CRS328-24P-4S+. Good work on the support Mikrotik, not.

Good work on the support Mikrotik, not.
Did you realize this is a user forum and not a support platform? I am not sure anyone from support saw this topic at all.
