Broken PSU in CRS328

Tue Aug 03, 2021 12:08 am

Hi

Just did an autopsy of a broken CRS328 2019 model. It seems like an IC let out the magic smoke, anyone that know the part no. of this component? If someone has some schematics that would also be of great help.

On another note. Is this a common problem on these switches?

It's impossible to know if you don't have a good version of the power supply, but maybe you do because the CRS328 might be a switch with redundant ones. Also, this doesn't seem to be a widespread issue.

Email support@mikrotik.com - I know they were able to help in such cases previously.

Hi, thanks for the replies.

MT just referred to the local vendor, which talked to MT and they both agreed that it is outside the 1y warranty so not much they could do. I also got a quote for a new PSU, but at $195 it didnt seem like the obvious choice.

Is there somewhere these PSU's can be ordered for less than ~45% of the total price of the switch?
