No Wireless accesspoint available to login to the RouterOS

Thu Aug 19, 2021 2:48 pm

Hello Everyone,

I just got a new RouterBoard wap LoRa series, to configure the device I need to connect to the wireless access point. As instructed in the manual I have powered on the RouterBoard and connected to my ISP using the POE injector. But I cannot see the access point in the list of available wifi networks on my laptop. I tried to reset the RouterBoard but the issue was not resolved.

Am I missing an important step?

Thanks

It should work this way.
The default SSID should also be printed on a sticker on the wAP.

Your Laptop needs to support / have switched on 2.4GHz WiFi.

Check with smartphone, if you can see the device just to narrow down the cause of the issue (is it the device or the laptop).

Try to connect a wired device in addition to the router and check, which IP was issued to the wAP. You can then also access it from that end (from the wired device), and get an insight about what's running and what not.

Cheers
