Ubiquity XR5 drivers

Fri Sep 21, 2007 1:59 pm

Hi all,
I have a problem with drivers on RB532A, 500r5 series with RouterOS 2.9.46.
I've installed a miniPCI card Ubiquity XR5http://www.ubnt.com/support_xr5.php4.
Its chipset Atheros AR5414 is supported by MT http://www.mikrotik.com/testdocs/ros/2. ... erlist.php,
but I cannot find it into my RB driver list

admin@MikroTik] driver> print
Flags: I - invalid, D - dynamic
# DRIVER
0 D VIA Rhine I/II Fast Ethernet
1 D Atheros AR5212 PCI

IO/IRQ status is

[admin@MikroTik] system resource> io print
PORT-RANGE OWNER
0x18800000-0x1... [via-rhine]
0x18800100-0x1... [via-rhine]

[admin@MikroTik] system resource> irq print
IRQ OWNER
7 timer
40 [korina ethernet Rx]
41 [korina ethernet Tx]
104 serial port
114 [Ethernet Underflow]
142 [a5212_pci]
142 ether2
143 ether3

The "driver add name ?" command gives no result:

[admin@MikroTik] > driver add name ?

How can I add requested drivers?

You don't need to load drivers. The XR5/XR2 use the Atheros AR5212 driver even though the chipset is a AR5413.

Thank you Gerard,
anyway it is strange that I don't see anything with the command
"[admin@MikroTik] > driver add name ?"

May I ask you to have a look also to this other post http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php ... 635&hilit= ?

do NOT ever use the drivers menu unless you want to install a ISA card :) look in Interfaces menu, not drivers.
