HI

I was trying to upgrade firmware but somehow the netinstall gets stuck at partitioning and formating. In hyperterminal i have the following message:

Formating disk...
Error: could not format partitions
Press ENTER to reboot

i have formated in hyperterminal but still no luck.Please Help

Hai,
Try to upgrade FW with serial connection

1. downlod newest FW from http://www.routerboard.com
2. upload it with serial connection and HyperTerminal windows program

after complete reboot your router

how do i upload via serial? i only have a upgrade option in hyperterminal.

Hello

Appears board is still under warrenty and i left it with supplier. I would have liked to however try it but its too late now. if they cant sort it out i will give it a try. As a matter of interest where on mikrotik do i find the *.ftw file. Could not find it in the latest firmware download.
