rb333 kernel panic

Tue Feb 19, 2008 2:41 pm

I have experienced some problems with rb333 and AR5004X/ar5213/
It works fine but when loaded rb333 reboots.
Is there any solution or any other like me?

rb333 has problem with high-power Atheros 5004X chip based mini-pci cards.
It has been tested and only by changing to 5006X chip based cards the problem is resolved.
seen reasons:
kernel panic , watchdog timer reboot, without proper shutdown.
I don't have dmesg so I can't bring out the whole output.
Consider this as an issue and please take care of it.

I suffered this issue too, random reboots, kernel panic...
Is this officially recogniced by mikrotik??, is there any solution on the way for this??.
We have deployed various of this cards, so we can´t just give up on them.

did you use the same miniPCI slot when comparing these cards?
can you send a supout.rif file to support? make the file as soon as you can after the crash. no, we have not seen this problem ourselves.
