RB 600A Time issues

Fri Feb 13, 2009 12:42 pm

I am facing a weird problem. When I set the clock to the following from console/winbox, it shows apparently that the clock is set.

/system clock> pr
time: 05:51:40
date: feb/13/2009
time-zone-name: "manual"
gmt-offset: +05:30

But when I reboot the system it becomes like this:

/system clock> pr
time: 05:36:50
date: jan/01/1970
time-zone-name: "manual"
gmt-offset: +05:30

Thanks in advance for your help

use NTP client on the Routerboard to get the correct date/time.

yes, you have to use NTP, because routerboards don't have battery to remember clock

I am faced with the same issue, how do i synchronize my router board to ntp server. My Time zone is Africa/Lagos.

I need step by step as you used to achieve it. This is affecting my hotspot users i created under user manager.

Thanks

try to change mode: unicast to something else. Maybe it is not unicast.
