The numbering scheme is very misleading, as it looks like it's in between the RB600 and RB1000, which is very far from the truth!

RB750 is an even lower cost and even lower performing version of the RB450, but with a nice plastic case instead of the ugly black tin can boxes. Designed for the wife-sensitive home market.

Would have loved to see a POE injector built into one of the ports, would make an ideal CPE indoor router to complement an RB411 doing wireless duties on the outside... but oh well..

I think what he meant was, the download of the video is TOO SLOW. I am trying to watch also and it streams for 1-2 seconds at a time. Also trying to download the torrent and it's been 1h 39m and I'm only 35% done. Not enough seeders i guess.

no one mentions anything about the 616 in that video.

I guess we will have to wait for newsletter 17 to find out what it is.

Quick guess, going by MikroTik's numbering scheme, is that it's an RB600 with 1 Ethernet port and 6 mPCI slots?

Or maybe it's a daughterboard for the RB600, which adds 1 Ethernet port and 6 mPCI slots to an existing RB600...

Just a guess, but you heard it here first! 8)

this is a 16 ethernet port to work like switch or routing (like catalyst)

i hope that!

I am guessing 1 ethernet 6 mini-pci as well.

Hopefully it has a faster CPU and a bit more ram too, that would make a perfect AP.

1x Bonded Backhaul, 4x Sectors for clients

Very nice....

If you've been at this awhile (or intend to be), sooner or later you will find that having multiple (same frequency band) radios in the same board/enclosure isn't the pancea you thought it would be.

I could see a PPC based 16 ethernet port RouterBoard being fairly useful in a MTU application, however you could achieve nearly the same thing with a low-cost (web) managed switch that supported VLAN's in concert with a RB600 or RB450G. I guess that situation or need will come down to cost in the end.

I am secretly hoping that '1' stands for a SFP/miniGBIC port upgrade for the RB600... Goodbye lightning (of sorts)

Me too, I could really use at least one SFP slot for some fiber installs.

RB750 ......

Would have loved to see a POE injector built into one of the ports, would make an ideal CPE indoor router to complement an RB411 doing wireless duties on the outside... but oh well..

The RB750 accepts PoE on Port1.

Here's how to make it do PoE on all ports: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=35577
