2000 Vlan on device ???

I need to configure 2000 Vlan on device with traffic routing (from 50 to 800 MB),
what is the best choise for that - RB1000 whith 4-port ethernet or Core2Quad whith 4-port Intel PCI-Ex ethernet card ???

Go with core 2 quad.
You don't need any hardware encryption, that RB1000 offers, and you dont need ROS 6 level, because with 4 level ros you get unlimited vlans.
But be sure your motherbaord is supported.

My MB and Ethernet supported, but i want to hear the answer from Mikrotik Team -What will be better for 2000 Vlan and routing them - RB1000 whith 4 ethernet or Core2Quad + 4-port Intel Pci-Ex ethernet ???

In that case, you may want to ask them directly (support@), rather than here in the community forum. You shouldn't expect a response (here or directly) until a few days after the MUM is over, though.

As for your dilemma, either box should handle it just fine. With so little detail, it's tough to call one or the other 'better'. If simple routing is really all you will be doing, I would go for whichever is cheaper.
