Topic of the year. Use RB450G (CPU@680Mhz, 256MB RAM) And remeber RB750/RB750G is SOHO router not Core router.

Please read questions more carefully.

I think you can count on a cheap plastic wireless SOHO router from Mikrotik later this year. I would like to see it with 802.11n support and 2 or 3 mimo.

But don't expect a public comment from them.

They like to keep secrets until ready for release. And the announcements are often timed around MUM shows.

I also expect to see more new 'upgrades' like an RB433G.

An RB493G would be awesome but I don't know if the Gigabit ethernet ICs are there with 9 ports.

Tom

BTW 'A' does not mean level 4 license. It means additional features. RB600A had twice the RAM of the RB600 but same license level.
RB532A also had more RAM than RB532 but same license.

I think normis mean RB411AR with build in 100mW 2.4GHz radio. Course if u need more LAN ports, you should use RB532 or RB532A + RB564 daughter board. Only it's not cheap SOHO router.

RB532
I'll go back into the past to get one...
as I said, a cheap router like RB750 + wireless. One device, fewer cables, more elegant, more discrete, more ...

what about RB411R?
When you add power supply and metal case it's not that cheap compared to RB750+expected "R" price.

I still have a hope that Mikrotik will consider launching 750-series Wireless-capable device.

Glad to hear. Hope this model will be revealed during the next MUM.

What I'm looking for is RB750R with at least one GigE port and 680Mhz CPU or RB411AHRG.

RouterStation Pro is exactly what I want but the thing is that it does not support RouterOS. Atleast according to one guy from this forum.

normis, which parts of RouterStation Pro are imcompatible with RouterOS ? Architecture seems to be pretty much the same as in RBs.

if you need only ROS compatible and many of 3 ether ports, use RB/493xx or RB/800 + RB/816
or PC based

RB/493AH has no GigE and is too expensive. RB/800 is even more expensive.

What I'm looking for is:

680MHz board with 1 x GigE, 1 x miniPCI and RouterOS L4 licence

But he said RB/493xX not AH. I think RB/493G qualifies and does have GigE.

But I also agree, it is not the cheap plastic device that you are looking for.

I get several calls a week looking for a mythical RB750GR. MT confirmed recently that it will not be shipping this year.

I think they got sidetracked this year with increased demand and product shortages.
