Problem with a 411AH and r52N

Thu Mar 04, 2010 10:26 pm

I am putting together an AP using an RB411ah and a R52n. Unfortunately I stumbled across a problem. When I access the router board with winBox I only see one interface, ether1. No wireless interfaces are reported. This happened right away from the first boot. Naturally I have triple checked all connections, removed and re-inserted the r52n back on its slot in the routerboard but the problem persist. I should mention that I am powering up the using PoE.

Do I have a defective card? Are there any tests I can do to determine where the problem lies?
Any helpful ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the question, but do you run ROS4 on the board? (3.x does not have support for 11n cards.)
OTOH, please share your experience regarding the R52n card. We had to throw them all out, because the performance was unacceptable.
