Extreme boredom - Ban Me Please

Fri Aug 06, 2010 1:20 am

How do i get removed/banned from this forum ?

I suspect obsessive compulsive behaviour draws me here, and i want it to Stop.

I got no resign option on the User Control Panel, so i'll have to be offensive in my forum spamming.

I ask for it. Please Ban me. I got a bet on it, and you'll be doing a Public Service.

If you can't then i got no option but to spam your forum with Offensive nastiness until you do.

Better for You to just ban me for life.

Better all round really.

User Control Panel > Options > Profile > Account Settings

Set a random email you don't have access to, set a random password.

Would be a damn shame if you did that, mind you.

Woohoo ! That wins me my bet. Cheers.

What's all this nonsense about Helping People ?

This is a Nerd forum for people who have no Real Life isn't it ?

I thought that the 'new posts' were computer-generated ?!?!?

Surely Thinking Human Beings are not posting the questions ?

Tell me it isn't true.

Any more "progress" on the SolarTik project?

Being from Arizona, it is kind of a pet interest of mine..

I would love to let the over abundance of sun here power devices that for the most part just sit and suck power while I'm at work.... Might as well use it to keep the lower power devices at my home data center online..

SolarTik has Evolved into PowerTik.

Solar power and battery management is now a sub-set of what it will allow.

PowerTik will get posted as soon as i can be arsed, and it works.

Currently i'm stuck on the PPP protocol so it can have a web interface, but it's just time.

(seems i didn't get banned then, and i thought i asked nicely, bastards)

Well, spamming and being offensive isn't working.

I reckon it's md5(rand()), cut 'n' paste time.

So long folks.

Set a random email you don't have access to, set a random password.
I tried the password thing. No joy. I even closed my eyes to cut-n-paste it.

Accessing emails is relatively easy - it just takes time - so no solution there.

The problem is that if i spend all my time on this damned forum then i don't have time (good ?)
If i set a random email address, then i'll spend the time getting access to it (bad ?)

Oh the evils of Internet and lack of self control.

A bit more PowerTik (nee solartik) progress :-

PPP protocol cracked, so the board can plug in the serial port.
We got connection (LCP)
We got an IP address (IPCP)
We got ICMP - it Pings !

Now working on TCP (which quite hard in 4k of code space) but have got as far as the 3-way SYN/ACK-SYN/ACK handshake.

If there's space left either in the PIC and/or my brain, it *might* even be possible to give it SNMP to graph all the voltages etc on Dude.

TCP 3-way handshake done.

Even a Windows PC will talk to me now.

i just got to figure out what it's saying, and extra happiness results.
