I think you should try 18V POE or change the jumpers and use 48V.

I've had this kernel-panic when upgrading some non-RB geode boards with recent 2.9.x releases using FTP and reboot. The ap just doesn't come back up.

The solution is painful and involves a re-install from a bios PXE boot, which means an RS232 cable connection.

Any thoughts why this is, these boards never had problems with all the previous 2.9 betas and RCs.

Regards

I have an RB532 supplied from Mikrotik complete with 2x rb52 interfaces & 18V PoE.

Since upgrading from 2.9rc9 to 2.9.2 (then .4, then .5) it has been crashing randomly. Also one 2.8.21 client disconnects and will not reconnect without a reboot. This is bad.

XP does not fail, we have tested from XP numerous times. yes, if you reinstall with Netinstall, it is likely that your problem will be solved. use latest version
