Where are Serial Numbers stored RB433/RB433AH

Fri Mar 18, 2011 8:29 pm

I have some routerboards 433 and 433AH that I have installed with OpenWRT. For logistics reasons I need to remotely read the RB's serial numbers.
It has been a month but I havent found a way to get it on either model.

I know that in RouterOS this number is read from somewhere, since it is displayed when you run "/system routerboard print". What I was wondering is where is this data stored and how could I access it with OpenWRT installed on the RB.

I'll appreciate any feedback since it's quite important for a deployment I am planning.

Thanks!!

I don't think a lot of people can help you, since you change the software to OpenWRT.

it is not possible to get that number from the linux so easy. But the easiest way would be to get that number from the MAC address as each board has its own MAC address for each ethernet interface.
